escape route...

I took a lot of photos in September but didn't blog a single one - September (in short) flew by! But a lot of fun and cute things happened so I am going to attempt to fill in the blanks with the cuteness abound.

This story actually happened on Tuesday, September 11th and it really made me chuckle - partially because my side of the story involved tears, whining and a pretty plllleeeaaase - while Jaiden's story evolved very differently.

Tuesday is an incredibly busy day in this house - it used to involve tennis lessons, farm pick up, guitar (all in a 2 hour period of time and around town) and on this particular night involved the parent information night at school. I was in no mood to try to cram that in but Alyssa really wanted to go to the babysitting program offered by PTO. Jaiden told her she should stick with us that it was boring there and a lot more fun waiting for him at guitar and picking up the veggies.

This is when my story started - Alyssa with tears, whining... but Jaiden and Alyssa had a different conversation - one that involved her going and getting a video game cartridge and him telling her not so. Luckily for Alyssa, Daddy came picked her up and took her with him to the parent information night at school.

Later that night, Alyssa gave Jaiden this note wrapped in the green construction paper...
... that had her escape plan written on the green paper!

Jaiden beamed at the note, giggled over how she spent the entire time devising an escape route! and managed to tell her "next time stick with me!"

ahhh, such good big brotherly advice!
